Correct Contact Lens Care
In general, all contact lenses (except for daily disposables) need to be cared for thoroughly. For cleaning and disinfecting, often different contact lens solutions are used in combination. Your individual combination of contact lens solutions is a called contact lens care system. Your contact lens care system should always be determined individually to meet the needs of your contact lenses and reduce the risk of allergic reaction.
The correct contact lens care depends on the contact lens solutions used. You should always follow our general advice and any directions provided within the packaging. The following five steps are important for correct contact lens care:
Step 1: First, you have to clean the contact lenses.
Step 2: After cleaning, rinse the contact lenses with saline solution.
Step 3: Before putting the contact lens back on the eye, it is necessary to disinfect them.
Step 4: Peroxide solutions always need to be neutralized.
Step 5: If you are not wearing the contact lenses, always store them hygienically in an all-in-one or storing solution.
With these solutions, the contact lens always stays clean and moisturized.
