Saline Solutions

Contact lenses should not come into contact with tap water as it may be contaminated with germs and other substances. A saline solution should be used to ensure contact lenses remain free of cleaning solution residues after cleaning. You can use saline solutions for both soft and rigid contact lenses. Saline solutions are also suitable for moisturizing. Please note that saline solutions are not adequate for disinfecting the contact lens. For this purpose, all-in-one solutions and peroxide systems are much more suitable. Saline solutions are also inadequate for storing contact lenses.
