Innovative technologies of Avaira lenses

Aquaform-Technology®: Avaira lenses feature a complex combination of state-of-the-art materials which provide an excellent wearing experience. Avaira contact lenses are therefore exceptionally soft and flexible, allowing them to adapt perfectly to the shape of the eye. The special molecular structure of the material also makes the lens surface pleasantly smooth. The wettability of the lenses is optimised by the silicone macromers in the lens material. These are capable of storing moisture. In contrast to coatings, this wetting technology is firmly integrated into the lens, ensuring long-lasting comfort.

PEG technology: PEG stands for polyethylene glycol. This polymer, which is processed in the lens material, binds water and ensures natural and even wettability.

Optimised lens design: Avaira contact lenses have a specially rounded lens edge. This means that there is hardly any friction on the inside of your eyelid when you blink. This promotes the tolerability and comfort of Avaira lenses.

Optimised ballast design: Avaira Vitality Toric contact lenses are made for people with astigmatism. They have a special lens geometry with a wide ballast band and a uniform horizontal ISO thickness. This ensures that the Avaira Vitality Toric fits snugly with great stability – and the lens reliably remains in the correct position.

Handling Avaira lenses

You can clean the contact lenses with an all-in-one solution or with a peroxide solution. Only use products for care and storage that are suitable for soft contact lenses made of silicone hydrogel. You should also use a protein remover at regular intervals to remove protein deposits that come from your lacrimal fluid. These can cause a long-lasting milky veil on the lens and affect its performance and comfort.
