The Acuvue Oasys 1-Day for Astigmatism is a toric silicone hygrogel lens manufactured by Johnson & Johnson for the correction of astigmatism. As well as excellent comfort when in use, wearers of these lenses also enjoy the advantage of the patented Hydraluxe technology which reduces the symptoms of tired and dry eyes.Thanks to the Hydraluxe technology the Acuvue Oasys 1-Day for Astigmatism lenses contain molecules which are similar to your natural tears. The moisturising substance is incorporated directly into the lens material, thus increasing the amount and effectiveness of the moisturisation. The molecules also support your natural tear film to make the wearing of contact lenses a pleasant and healthy experience. The Acuvue Oasys 1-Day for Astigmatism lenses also have an extremely smooth surface over which your eyelids can glide without any problems. Thanks to the solution in the blister pack containing the lens which is very similar to your tears, the comfort provided by these contact lenses can be experienced immediately after you have inserted them. The Acuvue Oasys 1-Day for Astigmatism lenses are coloured with a slightly blue tint to make them easier to handle; they also incorporate an indicator to show the front and rear side. They also have a UV filter which blocks out up to 90% of the UVA and almost 99% of the UVB radiation. The UV filter in contact lenses increases the protection of the cornea against harmful UV radiation. However, the contact lenses do not cover the entire eyeball. The eyes therefore also need to be protected with sunglasses with a UV filter.
