The optician will then measure your individual parameters and advise you on the right contact lens for your requirements. The optician explains handling and cleaning of the contact lenses, and then you are free to take your new lenses home. To ensure healthy eyes it is important to regularly attend follow-up consultations, as your eyes can change during the course of your life. It is suggested that a new appointment is made every six months.
