Fitting and Aftercare
Each eye is individual. Contact lenses can only be healthy for the eye in the long-term if they are fitted to your personal needs. Therefore, it is vital to ensure that your eyes are checked by a certified optician or an optometrist before wearing contact lenses for the first time.
If you suffer from headaches often, your eyes get tired fast or you have difficulties seeing clearly near or far, you should consult your optician. Here the necessary measurements to find out your individual parameters can be taken and you can arrange a contact lens fitting. At this consultation, it is important to tell the optician your needs and wishes. The optician will then measure your individual parameters and advise you on the right contact lens for your requirements. The optician explains handling and cleaning of the contact lenses, and then you are free to take your new lenses home. To ensure healthy eyes it is important to regularly attend follow-up consultations, as your eyes can change during the course of your life. It is suggested that a new appointment is made every six months.
